Tour du Mont Blanc - Cycling 2023

2 days on the road with Paul Kettle cycling the Tour du Mont Blanc on a road bike. In total, we cycled 330km and 8000m D+. We did it on clockwise direction. From Le Fayet, then up to Chamonix via Servoz and Vaudagne uphill. We hit the 1st col, the Col des Montets and after that we crossed the border into Switzerland. The first swiss col was the Col de la Forclaz, then we did the Champex Lac climb and we finished by the mythic and long Col du Grand Saint Bernard.

Here, we crossed into Italy. After the col, it's a very long way down to Aosta. In Aosta, we turned right and headed to Pré Saint Didier, where we spent the night in a very cosy Italian hotel.

The 2nd day started with another long but fresh early climb, the Col du Petit Saint Bernard, where we got back into France. Another long way down to Bourg Saint Maurice and then we did the before last climb: the Cormet the Roselend and its amazing dam.

Another downhill, towards Beaufort, where we stopped for a nice cheesy meal. And then finally, the last ascent, the Col des Saisies, from where we cycled back home, to the start, via Megève and Saint Gervais!

2 nice days in my bike and in very good company!!!
